With the mission of promoting sensory and consumer science in Asia, SPISE aims to be a place where professionals from academia and industry meet, exchange ideas and introduce their latest research findings. In other words, SPISE is the conference for you and your peers.
Thus, we are thrilled to announce the “SPISE 2024: The New Diverse World of Sensory Evaluation: Exploring its Intersection with Modern Technologies”. The meeting will take place from 26 to 27 July 2024 at the main campus of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, 268 Ly Thuong Kiet street, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
We welcome papers both theoretically and empirically on topics in any field of sensory and consumer sciences. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Relationship between products, consumers, and contexts
- Applications of sensory analysis in the food industry/product development
- Relating sensory and other consumer research methods
- Applied statistics in sensory evaluation
- Sustainable food products
- Advances in sensory and consumer methodology
- Sensory strategies in food marketing
- Social determinants of food choice
- Cross-cultural sensory and consumer research
- Measurement of product experiences and emotions
- Integrating data from multiple sensory modalities using machine learning techniques.
- Enhancing the holistic understanding of sensory experiences through data fusion.
- Applying sentiment analysis tools to interpret consumer feedback from sensory evaluations.
- Understanding the emotional aspects of sensory experiences through natural language processing.
- Developing models that predict sensory responses based on AI and machine learning algorithms. Utilizing predictive analytics for anticipating consumer preferences
Abstract
– Abstract should be submitted electronically as a Word attachment in an email to vietnamspise@gmail.com
– All abstracts will be evaluated by the scientific committee of the symposium. A condition of submission is that, if accepted, the work has to be presented at SPISE 2024 by one of the authors
– Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic notice. Please allow at least 1 working day for the electronic notification to be sent to you.
Notes:
– The text of the abstract should clearly and consisely state the objectives, methodologies, results, and conclusions. The length should be between 275 and 500 words.
– 3-5 keywords are required
– After the abstract, please indicate the type of presentation you prefer: oral or poster.
Publication
– There are three options for publication:
