Program Objectives

I. General Objective

The objective of the Master’s program in Biotechnology at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry is to train highly qualified human resources equipped with in-depth knowledge and essential skills in Biotechnology and Bioengineering, capable of applying theoretical and scientific foundations to improve and develop technology, develop products to effectively exploit living systems, create high-value products or industrial processes based on gene technology; possess research methodology to conduct scientific research projects in the field of biotechnology; demonstrate high adaptability to the socio-economic environment, effectively solve scientific and technical problems in biotechnology in research and production environments.

II. Specific Objectives

Upon completion of the research-oriented Master’s program in Biotechnology and after several years of professional work, graduates should demonstrate the following competencies:

PEO1. Apply acquired knowledge, engage in self-learning, and continuously enhance knowledge.

PEO2. Conduct scientific research to consolidate fundamental knowledge and achieve in-depth understanding of specialized knowledge.

PEO3. Research, apply, and implement research results into practice.

PEO4. Evaluate, apply, and deploy research results into practice.

PEO5. Identify and solve problems related to biotechnology.

PEO6. Organize, administer, and manage advanced professional activities, research and development, and creatively utilize technologies in the field of biotechnology, with foreign language proficiency equivalent to Level 4/6 of the Vietnamese Language Competency Framework.

PEO7. Demonstrate the ethical qualities of a biotechnology professional, with a spirit of progress, cooperation, and support for colleagues.
