King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi was founded as a research university serving as both educational park and industrial park. KMUTT currently produces qualified graduates and skillful human resources with strong quality and morality ground. The university actively involves in research and development as well as provides quality academic services contributing to enhancement of economy and quality of life.
The School of Bioresources and Technology was established at KMUTT in 1993 with the aim of developing on interdisciplinary curriculum that would produce personnel capable of solving the problems arising from the change in the economic structure of Thailand from an agricultural to an industrial base.
At present, the School offers 4 postgraduate programs and 3 interdisciplinary programs as follows:

- Bioinformatics and Systems Biology
